Dignitaries led by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; wife of the Chief of Staff to the President, Salamatu Gbajabiamila; Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Hamzat; Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire; Senators Oluranti Adebule and Wasiu Sanni Eshilokun; former Deputy Governor, Sarah Sosan; former wives of Lagos State Governors, Bolanle Ambode and Alhaja Abimbola Jakande; and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, at the official flag-off and presentation of empowerment items to 1,000 women in Lagos State.

The initiative was organized by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals in collaboration with the Renewed Hope Initiative of the Office of the First Lady. The event took place at the Ikeja House, Alausa.
