NASFAT President Felicitates Muslims on Hajj and Eid al-Adha, Calls for Global Solidarity and Compassion

The President of Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) Worldwide, Dr. Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, FCS, has extended warm greetings and congratulations to Muslims around the world as they celebrate Eid al-Adha and participate in the sacred Hajj pilgrimage.

In a statement issued on behalf of NASFAT stakeholders and members across the globe, Dr. AbdulRauf congratulated the thousands of Nigerian pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia for Hajj, joining millions of Muslims in Mecca and Medina in fulfilling one of the pillars of Islam. He noted that the pilgrimage, which also involves visits to historical religious sites, represents one of the world’s largest and most spiritually significant gatherings.

Dr. AbdulRauf highlighted the deep symbolism of Eid al-Adha, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God’s command. He said the festival is not only a time of spiritual reflection but also of charity, as Muslims around the world distribute food to the less privileged in their communities.

“As Muslims observe this holy season, they also demonstrate compassion and solidarity by supporting relief efforts in countries facing hardship, war, and devastation,” he said, naming regions such as Northern Nigeria, Ukraine, Palestine, India, and Pakistan.

He emphasized that the rituals of Eid and Hajj are reminders of the shared roots of the Abrahamic faiths and the power of faith in uniting communities to serve humanity.

“On behalf of NASFAT, we pray for a peaceful and blessed Eid al-Adha and Hajj season. Eid Mubarak and Hajj Mabrour to all,” he said, wishing Muslims many more opportunities to witness future celebrations in good health and Allah’s abundant blessings.
