The Stage Is Set: 15 Gifted Pupils Compete for Top Honours at MAMF Creativity Challenge Grand Finale
Chief Dr. Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi Foundation (MAMF) is set to host the *Grand Finale of the 3rd Edition of its annual Creativity Challenge on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Ijaola Majekodunmi Memorial Building (Lion Buildings), near Ajitadun Roundabout, Iberekodo Market Road, Abeokuta.
With the theme “Inspiring Innovation Through Education and Creativity,” this year’s edition reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to fostering literacy, self-expression, and critical thinking among public primary school children across Ogun State. Since the programme’s inception, over 1,000 pupils have participated in the challenge, making it one of the most impactful educational interventions in the state.
Targeted at Primary 5 and 6 pupils, the Creativity Challenge is an essay writing and presentation competition developed to help children showcase their individuality, sharpen their analytical thinking, improve their command of the English language, and build confidence in public speaking.
The 2025 competition is organized in collaboration with the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and supported by UAC Foods.
This third edition received 300 entries from public schools across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State, with 100 submissions from each district. The entries were evaluated by a team of independent assessors from Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State, and 15 finalists were selected following a rigorous second-stage essay writing competition.
At the grand finale, the finalists will participate in another round of essay writing and deliver presentations before a panel of judges. The top three winners will receive cash prizes of ₦250,000, ₦150,000, and ₦100,000 respectively, in addition to gift items and certificates.
All 15 finalists will be recognized for their achievements, and some may be considered for the prestigious MAMF Girl Child Scholarship Programme.
Speaking on the importance of the programme, Mr. Richard Uwayzor, Executive Secretary of MAMF, remarked:
“We are deeply committed to inspiring a new generation of thinkers, leaders, and writers. Through platforms like this, children learn not just to write, but to find their voices, dream boldly, and express their ideas with confidence. We’re proud of what this competition has achieved so far and excited to see the next chapter unfold.”
The MAMF Creativity Challenge continues to be a beacon of opportunity for pupils in underserved communities. By providing platforms for academic and creative excellence, the Foundation is helping to build the next generation of Nigerian leaders.
