First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Urges United Front Against Bullying in 2025 Children’s Day Message
As Nigeria joins the rest of the world in marking the 2025 Children’s Day, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has called on all Nigerians to stand up against bullying in schools, communities, and online spaces.

In a heartfelt message to commemorate the annual celebration held every May 27, Senator Tinubu expressed her love and best wishes to children across the country, describing them as “the promise of Nigeria’s future.”
This year’s theme, “Stand Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation,” underscores the need to collectively create a safer, more inclusive environment for children.
“Whether it occurs in schools, in communities, or online, bullying leaves lasting wounds that hinder a child’s emotional, social, and academic development,” she said. “Every child deserves to grow up in an environment that is safe, supportive, and free from fear.”
The First Lady emphasized that addressing bullying is a shared responsibility among parents, teachers, leaders, and the society at large. She urged Nigerians to instill values of compassion, unity, and empathy in their children.
“As a mother, I call on all Nigerians to take an active stand against bullying. Let us teach our children that strength lies in compassion, and that true leadership begins with looking out for one another,” she added.
Senator Tinubu ended her message with warm wishes, saying: “Happy Children’s Day.”
