Hon. Bisi Yusuff Leads Reconciliation Efforts in Alimosho, Advocates Inclusive Politics
The newly confirmed apex leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Bisi Yusuff, has begun a reconciliation process aimed at fostering unity and restoring political harmony within the constituency.
Hon. Yusuff, widely known as the “Prince of Hope Turned Reality,” was finally confirmed as the apex leader on Monday night during a meeting between Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and some party leaders from the constituency.
The meeting, held at the governor’s residence in Marina, ratified the directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on leadership restructuring within the party in Alimosho.
Prominent Alimosho party leaders in attendance included Hon. Kehinde Joseph, Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, Yisa Yusuf, Uzamot Akinbile, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, among others.
The three-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly assured party members that with him at the helm of affairs in Alimosho, the political landscape of the constituency is set for a transformation driven by unity, reconciliation, and a collective vision for the future.
Speaking to party members who gathered to celebrate his reaffirmation at his constituency office in Ipaja, Hon. Yusuff emphasized the need for humility in victory. He urged party members to embrace reconciliation, unity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
“The people should see me as an agent of unity, reconstruction, and reconciliation, an agent of renewed hope that our symbol, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represents,” he stated.
He assured party faithful that Alimosho was set for a political revival and would reclaim its lost glory as “Tinubu’s Country.” He warned against internal conflicts and divisive rhetoric, stressing that his leadership would prioritize inclusivity and collective progress.
“There shouldn’t be any form of abusive words or in-fighting. Alimosho will become one again. I can assure Mr. President that by the special grace of God, Alimosho’s votes will be the largest in the country come 2027. But I cannot do it alone, I need to bring leaders together and brief them on the discussions we had with Governor Sanwo-Olu.”
As part of his reconciliation process, Hon. Yusuff pledged to reintegrate previously sidelined political stakeholders, including past ward chairmen, special advisers (SAs), councilors, supervisory councilors, LGA chairmen, and party leaders.
“Many leaders who were once politically relevant have been rendered insignificant. We will bring them back, reconcile, and reawaken their political responsibilities. We will reignite the activism in them to work for my principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and ensure his victory in 2027.”
He further assured party members that within a short time, Alimosho would witness a resurgence of political activities that would strengthen the APC’s hold on the constituency.
Hon. Yusuff cautioned against divisive politics, political witch-hunting, and unhealthy rivalries, urging party members to prioritize unity.
“We must not engage in political witch-hunting or ugly politicking. In unity, we will be very strong. Our reconciliation process will extend to the zonal levels, leaving no stone unturned. Some politicians in Alimosho have lost faith in the party due to past events, but I am here to correct that.”
He reassured APC members that he would live up to the responsibilities entrusted to him and would not disappoint those who had given him the mandate to lead.
As a father figure to the youths in Alimosho, Hon. Yusuff encouraged them to be politically active and critical thinkers. He urged them to participate in the political process, make informed decisions, and remain loyal to their beliefs.
“The youth must reawaken their political consciousness and not be passive. They must develop critical analytical minds, be bold in their decision-making, and remain positive in all their endeavors. If they stay committed to their goals, they will achieve them.”
As the party prepares for the forthcoming 2025 local government elections in the state, his leadership promises a new era of inclusivity, renewed hope, and a rekindled commitment to the party’s core values.
