Toke Benson-Awoyinka Leads Lagos Delegation to San Francisco for Tourism and Entertainment Collaboration
The Mayor of San Francisco, Daniel Lurie, alongside the San Francisco Entertainment Commission and the San Francisco Film Commission, in collaboration with the management team of Empire Publishing led by Ghazi Shami, hosted a delegation from the Lagos State Government.
The delegation included the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka; the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi; and the Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology, Mr. Olatubosun Alake.
The meeting, held at San Francisco City Hall on Friday, February 14, 2025, focused on establishing a sister-city relationship between Lagos and San Francisco.
Discussions centered on tourism, entertainment, and future collaborations to nurture Lagos’ creative sector and enhance the state’s music and entertainment value chain.
