Family of Abandoned Accident Victim, Femi Ogundele, Demands Justice; Appeals to Sanwo-Olu, IGP, CP to Arrest Perpetrators

The family of a commercial Bus driver, Femi Ogundele who was recently hit by a vehicle around Jakande Bus Stop, Isolo area of Lagos State have cried out for help following his abandonment in the Hospital by those responsible for the accident.

The accident according to them occured last week Thursday around 8:45pm when another vehicle ran into the bus driven by Ogundele while trying to fix it, crushing him in the process.

Femi Ogundele was immediately rushed to Isolo General Hospital where his left leg was amputated and the right fully wrapped in bandage due to the level of injury sustained.

Speaking on behalf of the family who are now demanding for Justice, Segun Ogundele expressed worry that the Police from Ejigbo Police station allowed the driver of the car that hit his brother to go without considering the condition of the victim.

He therefore appealled to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the IG of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun and the Lagos Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Ishola to lauch an independent investigation into the matter in order to bring the perpetrators to book.

Segun Ogundele mentioned one Officer identified as Ope as the IPO in charge of the case adding there was no meaningful response from the police a week since the incident occured.

According to him, the driver of the car that hit his brother later gave a number of someone he refered to as his Lawyer for them to be relating with on the incident.

He lamented that the family has been running around to source for funds to pay the rising Hospital bills, drugs and other related purposes adding they have been left to their fate by the perpetrators and the police.

Items including Tecno Phone, Battery, Tyre and sums of money was said to have been stolen from the commercial bus.
