Ekiti Resident Electoral Commissioner welcome Progress in Case of Electoral malpractice against Chief Ogunlade
Ekiti State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi has welcome the progress made in the case of Electoral malpractice against Chief Micheal Ogunlade.
The trial of Chief Ogunlade commenced during the week at the Magistrate Court sitting in Ado Ekiti.
The trial was later adjourned to the 16th of December 2024 for continuation of trial.
INEC Counsel Ifedapo Osadola and that of Chief Ogunlade, A.J Oguntuase were both present in court.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Omoseyindemi said that he expects a speedy conclusion of the case while warning that officials whose conducts fall short of the Electoral Act will face the music.
Chief Michael Ogunlade was apprehended for carting away election result sheet at Iye 111 unit 007 in ilejemeje Local Government Area during the 2023 general elections
He was subsequently charged for stealing of result sheets.
