Former President Buhari Is And Will Support President Tinubu For 8years – Sunday Dare
Former Minister of youth and sports development, Chief Sunday Dare, has reacted to the presence of the former President of federal republic of Nigeria,Muhammadu Buhari at the meeting of the National Council of State presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday, noting that former President Buhari is and will support President Tinubu for 8years.
The meeting which took place at the Council Chamber of the State House Abuja has in attendance former presidents Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari,while Former Heads of State, Generals Gowon Yakubu, and Abdulsalami Abubakar joined virtually.
The National Council of State is an important organ of the government that advises the executive arm of government on policymaking.
The Council held another meeting again yesterday after the council last met on February 10, 2023, under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement released on his “X” handle formerly known as “Twitter ” on Tuesday, Chief Dare explained that the former president will support President Tinubu for the same 8 years.
“Throughout his 8 years in the saddle, Tinubu stood by him through thick and thin. It’s payback time, and former President Buhari is and will support President Tinubu for the same 8 years. These two know themselves very well. Connect! ” He tweeted.
Also in attendance were; Vice President ,Kashim Shettima, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila,National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi; Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy Wale Edun and Minister of Works, David Umahi, among others.
