Over 3000 residents of Eti Osa LG benefit from Food palliatives estimated at over thirty million naira
Over 3000 residents of Eti Osa Local Government Area have benefitted from the Food palliatives distributed by the council estimated at over thirty million naira.
The contents of the third phase palliatives distributed at the Council Secretariat at Igbo- Efon along Lekki-Epe Expressway include Rice, Beans, Groundnut Oil and Milk.
While handing over the palliatives to the residents, the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr Idowu Badru said that the initiative was to further cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal which had skyroketed the prices of food items and other consumables.
He said that the gesture was also to compliment efforts by President BolaTinubu and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in ameliorating the sufferings of the people.
Mr Idowu Badru disclosed that the council in recent past had carried out Medical intervention to address basic health needs of the residents.
The Council Scribe also renewed appeal on residents to voluntarily pay their levies and taxes in order to enjoy more people’s oriented projects.
Responding to other residents who stormed the council Secretariat but could not benefit from the palliatives, Mr Idowu Badru assured that they will be covered during the next phase.
