Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA Flags Off Construction of Olawale-Cole Street as Council Boss Vows to Complete All Ongoing Projects

The Chairman of Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA, Eng. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, has reassured residents that all ongoing projects in the area will not be abandoned.

He gave this assurance during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of Olawale-Cole Street in the Abule Egba area of the council.

He appealed to residents to exercise patience and support the contractor for a timely and smooth completion of the project.

The council boss said that the jinx of the road project has been broken, adding that it would have been done in 2018.

The road will have electrification and proper drainage channels. He also appealed to residents to pay their taxes for more developmental projects in the area.

According to him, the leader of the House and the Legislative arm of the council are those that made the people-oriented projects come true in the area.

He also thanked the management team for their support in the realization of the project.

Supervisor for Works, Olalekan, expressed happiness that the Chairman has made the dream come true.

He expressed hope that the construction will be completed in due course.

The pioneer chairman of the council was thanked.

On behalf of the contractor, Skiddo Construction & Engineering Limited, Eng. Oluwaseun Emmanuel, who is the project manager, said the 400m road is part of the redevelopment of the area.

He promised to adhere to job specifications and solicited the support of all to complete the project within 10 months.

The CDC Chairman, Mr. Ernest Kasumu, said it was a day of joy for them and assured the construction company of the full support of residents.

He believes that soon the council will move to another site within the council and called the attention of the Chairman to the need to complete the road at Omi Ata bus stop.

Joint CDC Chairman, Alhaji Olaide, promised the council support for the contractor and close monitoring of the construction after completion.

National Youth Council’s Osuntoye demanded that the contractor employ youths in the area while the job lasts.

Adeola Babatunde Felix, Secretary of Abule Egba CDA, said that the road experiences flooding during the rainy season.
