Residents of Apapa Iganmu Hold Prayer Rally for Tinubu, Pledge Support Ahead of 2027 Elections
Residents of Marine Beach, Agbo Malu, Boundary, Ajegunle and surrounding communities in Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area gathered at a mosque in the area to offer prayers for peaceful coexistence in Nigeria and for the well being of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The prayer session, which took place at the Marine Beach Central Mosque, brought together residents from different ethnic and religious backgrounds who also pledged massive support for the President’s reelection in the 2027 general elections.

The initiative was organized by the Vice Chairman of Apapa Iganmu LCDA, Fadeke Otitonaiye.
Leading the prayers, Imam Haruna Ahmed urged Nigerians to embrace unity and peaceful coexistence despite the security challenges confronting the country. He said the fight against terrorism, insurgency and other forms of criminality should not be left to government alone, noting that citizens must assist security agencies by providing useful information.

The cleric also described the emergence of President Tinubu as divine and called on Nigerians to continue supporting the administration with prayers and constructive advice.
In his remarks, the Baale of Marine Beach, Joseph Omobolanle Ogunmola, expressed confidence that the policies introduced by the President would yield greater results, particularly if he secures a second term in office. He added that residents of Apapa Iganmu remain firmly behind the President’s reelection bid.

Ogunmola also commended the Vice Chairman for what he described as her positive impact on the lives of residents since assuming office.
Similarly, a leader of the Arewa community in the area, Aminu Sidi, prayed for continued strength and good health for the President so he can fulfill his promises to Nigerians. He also urged other political leaders to emulate the commitment of the council chairman, Jimoh Olawale Saliu, and the vice chairman.

Speaking after the prayers, Otitonaiye explained that the gathering was organized to seek divine protection for the President and his family and to pray for the nation’s progress. She expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome insurgency and other security challenges.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Marine Beach Community Development Association, Wole Akinleye, said residents were proud that the current vice chairman emerged from their ward, noting that her leadership has brought noticeable development to the community.

He added that unity among Nigerians remains essential, stressing that religious harmony between Muslims and Christians is vital for the nation’s stability and progress.
