Gov Sanwo-Olu, Benson-Awoyinka Honored in California for Leadership and Cultural Advancement
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been presented with a Certificate of Recognition for his visionary leadership, commitment to sustainable development, and innovative contributions to the progress of Lagos State.
Similarly, the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, received an award from the California Legislature in recognition of her outstanding efforts in promoting Lagos’ cultural heritage and tourism potential.
The honor also acknowledges her support for artists and musicians benefiting both Lagos and California, as well as her dedication to strengthening the partnership between the two regions.
Additionally, the Office of State Representative Matt Haney held a strategic meeting with the Lagos State delegation to advance discussions on a dynamic city-state collaboration.
The partnership aims to foster cultural and musical exchanges among creatives, attract investments in technology and innovation incubation hubs, and explore shared solutions for multimodal transportation systems.
